AKIN OF SEEING FACES FROM PAREIDOLIA, LANDAO HEARD STORIES WITH DEEP MEANING AS THE MUSIC FILLED HIS IMAGINATIONAT THE AGE OF 7, A VISION OF PLAYING MUSIC IN FRONT OF AN AUDIENCE ON A FUTURISTIC STAGE WEARING A BLACK GAS MASK OCCURED. THE MUSIC EVOKED ALL KINDS OF ODD, DISTURBING, HAZARDOUS FEELINGS AND SOON, STORIES WERE TOLD THANKS TO THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE. YEARS LATER LANDAO’S VISION RESURFACED. NOW AS AN ADULT LANDAO WAS ABLE TO EXPERIMENT WITH SOUNDS AND CREATE STORIES FOR ALL TO HEAR AND SHARE. HIS MUSIC IS AN EXPRESSION OF HIS DESIRES, DREAMS AND FEARS. HIS MUSIC WILL KEEP COMING AS THE WORLD IS IN WARNING. HIS MUSIC WILL TELL THE TALE OF THE DANGEROUS, THE TALE OF THOSE IN DANGER AND FOR THOSE WHO HAVE COME TO PASS
WHILE LANDAO EXISTS IN TORONTO CANADA, HIS DREAMS TRAVEL THE WORLD IN SEARCH OF NEW EXPERIENCES, INSPIRATIONS, STORIES AND PEOPLE
Landao was born in Dubai and moved to Toronto with his parents at the age of 10. From an early age, Dany Oghia was attracted to music and developed a very unique rapport with the art. One of his earliest memories of the symbol of music was the art cover for Jean-Michel Jarre’s Oxygene album. From a very early age, Dany was drawn to electronic music, notably 80’s synth pop artists. In 1985 Dany took lessons on a synthesizer and began experimenting with sound manipulation and beat cutting. Following a very foreshadowing dream and vision, the seed of Landao was planted. Focusing on melodic structure and progressive basslines he produced hundreds of works. In the mid 2000 he learned to DJ and hosted a radio show for many months, In 2017,Landao was formed. His production skills and experience resulted in a unique blend of IDM and in 2019 produced his first unreleased album Retrograde. In 2021, his new album called Deep Waters was born. The music of Landao is a declaration of Warning regarding controversial matters with the current state of the world on the topics of planetary health and human toxicity effects resulting from mass consumption and production.
